I did a recording at the Guelph Jazzfest with them a couple years ago and they were awesome - Jesse is a killer drummer, and the way Matt Brubeck plays a carbon-fibre cello with effects/bowing/plucking is unreal...

The Floppy-Scotch night was painfully epic and has now entered the top 10 memorable drunk nights ever....I went from slurring to full-hawaiian before Steve Miller even got going after mixing girly drinks with beer with rum with that f'ing scotch...I cried when I got lost, and perfected new ways to stumble uphill. And I almost texted someone...IN THE FACE!

Booche - did ya proud, puked from a moving bike on Carling and didn't fall off! This was a different night mind you...

Yup - they kicked ass. Maybe not 2 hour headliner material these days but after they cleared up the sound probs at the start it was good to hear Cornell still has the pipes. And Beyond the Wheel kicked ass!

Skrillex was awesome. I like Bluesfest lots.

Gawddamn, Big Balls, No Quarter and What's the Use in one set? I would've shut down.

Facking right - prior to Phish this was the band I had seen the most back in the 90's - Those first couple Toronto Concert Hall shows still make me shiver...Cannot wait to relive 'Beyond the Wheel' again - and I'm hoping Ollie's noted absentees show up in Otown!

...the only caveat I would have for buying a condensor over a dynamic is that it will pickup everything you can hear in your room....everything. At least with a dynamic mic up close on your instrument you won't hear the AC kick in, a plane fly by and your neighbors kid screaming all before you hit the second verse.

If you have a quiet room that you can clap your hands in and it doesn't sound like a flanged delay, then think about a condensor. But a 57 would work fine on all those sources as well.
