Vida Blue has planned a nine-show East Coast tour beginning April 18. The

tour will end at the Orpheum Theatre in New Orleans -- on April 27, the

first weekend of JazzFest, with the New Deal opening.

For the April 27 show, tickets ($25) will be on sale February 22 at

10:00am Central via Ticketmaster (504-522-5555 or

http://www.ticketmaster.com/). Later this week, the full tour schedule

and Tickets-By-Mail information will be available on http://www.phish.com/

Page is putting the finishing touches on Vida Blue's studio album,

primarily recorded last fall in New Orleans, and will be mixing the tracks

later this month with longtime collaborator Jon Siket. The album is due

out in early summer on Elektra. The band expects to tour again in July.

--------------------

Within three days of each other, every member of Phish made a guest

appearance with another act last week. Here's the rundown:

Benefit for "Mr. Charlie" (with Page McConnell)

02/06/02 Higher Ground - Winooski, Vermont

The show was a benefit for "Mr. Charlie" Frazier, a local musician with

health difficulties. Several Vermont bands played, including the John

Tower Group, Doctor Jones, Nobby Reed Project, and the Seth Yacavone Band.

Mr. Charlie's band, Blues for Breakfast, performed in three configurations

representing eight years of the group's history. Phish keyboardist Page

McConnell joined the first of these line-ups for renditions of "Scarlet

Begonias" and "Franklin's Tower." A silent auction at the event offered

such items as a one-hour drum lesson with Jon Fishman, and tickets and

passes to an upcoming Trey show. About 400-500 people were in attendance.

--------------------------------

Seth Yacavone Blues Band (with Trey Anastasio)

02/07/02 Tribeca Blues - New York, New York

Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio made a surprise appearance on-stage for

nearly the entire second set. The setlist featured mostly Seth Yacavone

originals and blues standards. Also played were "Hurricane" and "Tom

Thumb's Blues". The entire night was filled with intense guitar dueling

between Seth and Trey.

DJ Logic "Trios" Show (with Mike Gordon)

02/07/02 Knitting Factory - New York, New York

DJ Logic hosted a unique show consisting of 4 trios, each composed

of Logic himself and two special guests. The trios were:

Logic, Christian McBride, Karrem Riggens, Scratch

Logic, Charlie Hunter, Billy Martin

Logic, Mike Gordon, John Medeski

Logic, Michael Kang, Rob Wasserman

The set featuring Phish bassist Mike Gordon lasted about 25 minutes. Keep

an eye on www.djlogic.com -- streaming video of the entire show is set to

be released very soon!

Jazz Mandolin Project (with Jon Fishman)

02/08/02 Higher Ground - Winooski, Vermont

Phish drummer Jon Fishman sat in for a rendition of "War Pigs," which he

sung.

Thanks to COUNTLESS people for all the forwarded information!

Enjoy,
