doubleB Posted May 24, 2002 Report Share Posted May 24, 2002 On the heel of my bitching about last nights terrible show at the Mercury Lounge, I was informed today that there will be no more live music at the Mercury. An aparent change in the ownership situation has left live music lovers out in the cold (with a number of my bookings) What a shame to loose such a beautifull room. I put up with A LOT of crap from that bar in an attempt to build something in that perfect location..... bummer, that is a lot of work down the shitter. Long live DJ's ! I could never fully support a place that makes my phriends take off their hats and wear black soled shoes and has the audacity to charge no less than $15.00 a show and pour out expensive drinks.
