Guest Low Roller
For anyone who cares: The White Stripes will perform four nights straight on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. The band will perform a different song each night starting on April 22nd and running to April 25th. The band will be promoting their new album, Elephant, which hits stores April 1st. Vermontdave
Thanks LR, I hadn't heard that yet. I think the White Stripes are what Detroit garage punk is supposed to be. Peace with amplification!
Guest Low Roller
Second Tube, VermontDave, I agree with both your points. I recognize that this is a message board dedicated to jamband music and the scene, and I typically don't stray (unless I'm venting about GWB), but IMHO I think that the White Stripes are worth the rock hype and prove that some music out there is still pretty good. You just gotta know where to look (Hint: not MuchMusic). Just like somebody introduced me to jamband music, I'd like to introduce a person to something new that they may like. Check 'em out: you may not hate them. VermontDave knows what I'm talking about! (Your check from the record company is in the mail VD )

Check 1-2
Though I do like the White Stripes, I have a hard time getting past the aweful drumming!
