Esau
Which entrance or lakes are you doing?I love algonquin,I've done many a trip to the interior, such an awesome park,we usually did this loop of portages(best of my memory anyway). In:Canoe Lake-portage>Joe Lake>Tee-pee Lake >Tom Thompson Lake>a couple medium portages and small bodies (ponds almost) of water > Sunbeam Lake-portage>Burnt Island Lake-portage>Little Joe Lake>Joe Lake-portage>Canoe lake.Have fun Mikey d,enjoy the break from the urban world.Get some cool pics for us.(I'm jealous)Cheers

Esau
Nice,I love that route for some reason,Tom Thompson (island site) being my favourite, always wishing to see the ghost of Tom paddling by.Sunbeam being a very close second.Have you checked out the old resort ruins or old growth pines on Burnt Island Lake? mikey d
no, but i may over this next trip, ive heard good things. im super excited, a great break from school - mabe not the best timing as my final exams are in two weeks, but hell, whatever. just me, my girlfriend, an oz of shrooms, a bottle of whiskey, a couple cigarette packs filled with j's and the entire interior at our disposal - good times. \/\/illy
Used to do a minimum of one 2-week interior trip per year. I love getting deep enough into the park that I hardly see anyone. I've also done some canoeing in Quetico and Killarney. Both are very nice.
