slammer Posted June 17, 2004 Report Share Posted June 17, 2004 Passenger will be performing at Wally's in Guelph, Ontario on Thursday, June 17th 10:30p start ...at the Duke of Welllington located at 33 Erb St West, in Waterloo, Ontario on Friday, June 18th ...9:00p start Chipotle( pronounced Chip-oat-lay), hailing from Guelph, Ontario, will be performing their unique brand of hypnotic Jazz, Funk, Blues, Reggae, Soul, Hip hop, Electronica, Caribbean, and Rock influenced dance music at Falstaff's located at 27 market Place in Stratford, Ontario on Saturday June 19th ... from 10:30pm-2:00am. last but not least, the Passenger crew will be performing at the Casbah located 306 King street, in Hamilton, Ontario on Sunday, June 20th ...There will be three bands playing that night ... 1. Battleship Ethel-prog rock improve ... reminiscent of Hawkwind local band -9p stage time 2. Passenger - takes the stage at 10:15 3. Mama Groove from BC-west coast tribal funk-comes on at 11:30p Be prepared for a night of great original music ...cu there!!! Passenger (a brief description for the uninitiated) With Rhythm & Blues as its meat and potatoes Passenger's music is generously spiced with funk, soul, folk, reggae and jazz musics. One might say that artists like the Allman Brothers, John Scofield, the Neville Brothers, Santana, Sly and the Family Stone, Herbie Hancock, Grateful Dead, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Van Morrison, Bill Withers have all had an influence on this music. This might be another nifty feature to the Casbah show on Sunday, for some of you... EMI has provided me with 50 promo copies of the new Beastie Boys CD, as well as posters and stickers and stuff.
