Nestled in Fortune Valley is a hillside amphitheater that is about to be rediscovered with the festival Gatineau Place to Go. Gatineau Place to go is being held on the 23rd and 24th of July, and features local musicans playing music ranging from Rockabillie Swing to the gypsy jazz of James Cohen.

Many people have stories and fond memories of the music concerts that have been held in the Fortune Valley. Musicians and groups that have graced the stage have included the likes from Joni Michelle, Bruce Coburn, and Gilles Vigneaut, to The Band.

The intention is to have a local outdoor music festival at a beautiful location, in the heart of summertime. If it is a success, perhaps people will be interested to create an annual festival.

Friday evening the stage is open, and will feature a video jam.

The music lineup for Saturday Afternoon includes, pop act Nuginduck from the Doozy Candle Factory, A 3 piece doowop swing band, A Brit Pop duo Formerly Unknown, and Robbies Pawn Shop a rock 'n blues Jam.

In the evening on Saturday, Alise Marlene will weave songs to enliven the evening, a flamenco rhythm carries on with the James Cohen gypsy caravan, Jeremy Saul will be making his debut at Gatineau Place to Go. The soundscapes continue with the progressive composition of Iceberg, accompanied by a live moving image performance. Could it be put any better: Make the music, move the people, shake the ass... with Loud Love's, heavy rock reggae explosion.
