c-towns Posted August 16, 2004 Report Share Posted August 16, 2004 What a weekend for Calgary's music scene, who ever did the scheduling musta been on glue. My choices were the Blues and Roots fest, The Reggae fest and Afrikadey. Ended up seeing Cake, David Byrne, Antibalas and some various other african influenced music (crazy drumming of all sorts, not to shabby for Calgary, its just to bad they decided to do it all on the same weekend. purple foot Posted August 16, 2004 Report Share Posted August 16, 2004 i think reggae fest and affrikadey used to be one thing and they had some problems with that this year. not too sure though, just heard one of the affrikay guys saying there was some problems. thats cool but have it on seperate weekend from blues fest. attendance at affridadey was definately hurting.
