Del
2004-10-30 Slip Halloween Extravaganza Pearl St. Ballroom, Northampton MA Set 1: Ventriloquism Jam&, New Instrumental, Even Rats, The Shouters, Landlord, Yellow Medicine Set 2: Mudslide, blues/rock tune(??)*, Sometimes True to Nothing*, Driving Backwards With You, Suffocation Keep^ Encore: Everybody Wants to Rule the World#, December's Children Notes: The Duo (Joe Russo & Marco Benevento) opened. A guitarist and bass player joined them for a few tunes but I didn't catch their names... &= Brad, Marc, and Andrew played their instruments (A. on drum pad) from the back of the venue as Meowskers and company air-played their parts on stage. *= with Marco Benevento. ^= with Marc on ukelele and Andrew on harmonium. #= with Marco Benevento (organ), Mr. Meowskers (lead vocals) and friends (Spon Com back-up dancers). Great show, lots of fun! So great to see Brad's old guitar come out on a number like Yellow Medicine. Marc was absolutley on fire all night. Many people in costumes and nice and drunk and all having a great time. Plenty of funny stuff going on onstage, such as a giant whtie sheet hung and people doing silly shiloutte dancing for the crowd. The Tears For Fears cover was awsome, whoever was singing sure was awsome. During the Washington to DC blues song, Marco Benevento was holding this insane organ riff, and Brad chugged his beer for as long as he could hold it. Marc wore a 'fu©k Bush' hat and a Yngwie Malmsteen hair style wig. It was a great night, nice and cool in the room, people were having alot of fun.
