NEW ARCHIVE RELEASES AVAILABLE AT LIVEPHISH.COM

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are pleased to announce two new additions to the Live Phish Downloads catalog from the Phish Archives. This double-feature showcases two shows from the experimental 1994 fall tour and continues a rich legacy of download and physical releases from the archives. Hold on tight.
On December 1st, 1994, United States Senator Patrick Leahy (Vermont) recognized Phish on the Senate floor: "Their star is on the rise. Phish's music spans many genres - from classically inspired pieces, to hillbilly country, to slick jazz, to hard rock. Add two trampolines, a vacuum cleaner, a first rate light show and you have a live performance that is hard to forget. A lot of good things come out of Vermont - Phish is one that seems poised to play a prominent role in the American musical scene."
Phish's back-to-back performances on November 30th, 1994 at Evergreen College in Olympia, WA and December 1st, 1994 at the Salem Armory in Salem, OR are perfect examples of the band's ability to weave their sets of often-divergent and always diverse styles of music into cohesive extended journeys. These shows display that talent at its peak, with extremely dynamic second sets that showcase Phish's ability to link one song to the next while stretching each beyond logical limits to create a tapestry of non-stop segue-filled exploration. The band and attentive crowd illuminated the northwest with these incendiary shows which draw on the region's adventurous spirit. The emotion and communication that take place among the band and audience at these mysterious, segue-filled shows cement their place in Phish history. An added bonus is filler from November 12th, 1994 at Kent State University featuring a ground-breaking Down With Disease and other gems.
Also included with this release is an essay by Phish Archivist Kevin Shapiro.
