CISCO SYSTEMS OTTAWA BLUESFEST is an internationally recognized annual summer event in the nation's Capital. The festival has enjoyed enormous growth since its inception in 1994 and the Blues in the Schools Program has been established as the most successful Blues education program in North America.

CISCO SYSTEMS OTTAWA BLUESFEST is a world-class event showcasing International and Canadian talent and bringing thousands of tourists into the region. Diverse artists such as JOHN HIATT, THE TRAGICALLY HIP, MELISSA ETHERIDGE, BLUE RODEO, WYCLEF JEAN, NELLY FURTADO, ALPHA YAYA DIALLO, THE DIXIE HUMMINGBIRDS, XAVIER RUDD, FIFTYMEN, DOUBLE PUMPERS, THE BELLRAYS and THE DIRTBOMBS have performed at the festival. It is a little-known band's dream to play alongside such well-known bands, to such a large audience.

In the coming weeks, the CISCO SYSTEMS OTTAWA BLUESFEST TALENT SHOWCASE SERIES will take place at Zaphod Beeblebrox to choose Ottawa area bands to play the stages of the festival. This is not a band war event; it is a chance to showcase your talent and impress with your ability to draw and entertain fans. Bands of ALL genres and styles are encouraged to enter as the festival encompasses a great diversity of musical talent.

Net proceeds will be donated to the Blues In The Schools Program.
