i love love LOVE the original lineup of this band. if anything "melts my face" this is it.

anyone else into what is easily the best non-Miles fusion group ever.

Billy Cobham is so good he makes me hate drums. actually they all make me hate their respective instruments. jerks.

i thought it was cool that all 5 dudes were from different countries too.

i have a bunch of shows, and although the sound quality is lacking is some, the playing is TOP NOTCH in all of them...

McLaughlin is one of my favorite musicians.

yeah i have a few myself, same problem, i have a Santana/McLaughlin show somewhere too but i think its MP3.

and i wholeheartedly agree about J McL, being one of my fave musicguys too.

have you seen that video clip from '74 with the 2nd lineup? Michael Walden is a sick drummer too.

I actually have an old vhs of basically the whole 74 performance...somewhere in the basement...

any musician that was apart of that group was top notch.

i have 11-10-73 in shn format (mcL and Santana) as well as the studio outtakes...

i think i have a few other performances as well...

some of those acoustic takes are some of my favorite acoustic piecs of music!
