Dr_Evil_Mouse
Y'know, I've typically thought of this tune as an easy excuse for Bobby to get people up dancing, but this one, 1989-05-06 just kills me. When Brent switches over from piano to the Hammond, the chills up my spine just about break it. How many rock'n'roll tunes sound like they were written for the listening pleasure of royalty? Hux
Nice one! I like those opening chords best when they cut off some snooze-fest Stella Blue or Wharf Rat.....
ollie
5/6/89 has long been a favourite of mine!
Dr_Evil_Mouse
I like those opening chords best when they cut off some snooze-fest Stella Blue or Wharf Rat..... I'd agree completely, without the snooze-fest part . I remember an interview with Jerry where he said that if it weren't for Bobby, he'd have been perfectly happy finishing every show with "Death Don't Have No Mercy." Guess Bobby felt his job was to keep people dancing, which, on balance, worked out just fine!
