who knew i liked hip hop?

i went to see pocket dwellers last night, they were pretty good, but i have to say i expected more from a band with all those instruments. it was fun but not tight. i think i actually enjoyed the opening band more, sweatshop union. (if you can call that a band... i guess i'm old fashioned). when they started up i thought, these guys sound good but i don't think i'm interested in this kind of music. however after a couple of songs i was right into it. i liked them a lot. it surprised me, i didn't know i liked hip hop! maybe i was just tired by the time pocket dwellers came on...well also, i couldn't understand anything the guy was saying, whereas i could at least hear the sweatshop guys' lyrics, which was nice.
