there's a bat IN my apartment...

Sad bat story. When we lived on Cooper St we had our bedroom window open. We were woken up in the middle of the night by our cats jumping up and down on our bed repeatedly. AS I sat up I felt something whizz right past my head and freaked the hell out of me.

This little not blind (thanks Brad) bat was swooping all over the place and just grazing our heads but never actually hitting us, and meanwhile our cats were freaking right out and jumping in mid-air trying to catch the thing. I tried to use a sheet to get it so I could let it go outside, but this was 4 in the morning and I was running out of options so I whacked it with a pasta strainer. The poor thing shrieked and droppeed to the floor and I'm still remorseful about killing it...wish I'd know of a better way to get it out because they're really amazing animals.

They stink like bloody murder though.
