badams Posted September 20, 2005 Report Share Posted September 20, 2005 The Colorado Avalanche Hockey announced that right wing Milan Hejduk underwent arthroscopic knee surgery today. He will be sidelined four to five weeks."After further examination, the procedure was necessary in order to eliminate the pain he was experiencing in his knee," said Avalanche Head Athletic Trainer Matt Sokolowski. "The procedure went really well and a full recovery is expected."The 29-year old Hejduk spent the 2004-05 season in the Czech Republic where he recorded 25 goals and 26 assists in 48 games. In 2003-04 the right winger played in all 82 games for the Avalanche scoring 35 goals and 40 assists."It's early in the preseason and it was the ideal time for Milan to get this taken care of," said Avalanche Head Coach Joel Quenneville.
