bradm
Are you sure that it's not an average-sized plant and your brother has shrunk to about 5" tall? Does he grow anything else? Aloha, Brad

I'd be into growing some of these babies.i have 2 different musa (banana) varietiesa musa basjoo which has inedible fruits but is the hardiest banana of them all. (zone 5) musa basjoo those are what you see behind my broand the other is a dwarf cavendish (zone 8)i may or may not bring the cavendish inside for the winterthe basjoo is definately staying in the groundi'll wrap the trunk with insulation and then burlap and mulch heavily with leaves and straw.my basjoo is roughly 7' tall and the cavendish is over 3 feet tall.this is a great banana forum i'm tropicalEyecheers
Kaidy Mae
Thanks Cowboy! That's awesome. I'm going to look into getting a musa basjoo, if it's not already too late.
