Boochawan
yeah, I've seen the vid before, and this kid is really amazing. He's entertaining to watch, but I wonder what he'd be like playing in band...laying down grooves, locking in with the rest of the group. I'd want to feature him all the time, give him crazy drum solos. Moby Dick at every show!

YearsAlongTheSea
Wow, this time my slow ass computer synched up the audio/visual and I'm heading out on Tony Royster Jr. Tour. Tony Royster Jr. is now 21 and I'd keep an eye on him.

boiler
kid has some slick moves. I agree with Boochawan though, like to see him hold some rythmns behind a band.
YearsAlongTheSea
On the 'hold the beat front: Around the 6 minute mark in the video (sorry no clickable text) the kid drops into some nasty grooves, and if I can recall, switches back between a few before going back into lightning fast, abstract solo mode. I think he could, but obviously it would be a learned trait. On that note, ten years have gone by and you should see what he's up to know. Probably holding down grooves like it's no one's business would be my guess.
