Boochawan Posted March 11, 2006 Report Share Posted March 11, 2006 nice review. I remember Kobayashi from my freshman year in Montreal, and i was so blown away then. They got me into the whole funk/jazz/groove scene in Montreal. Shain, did they happen to do Gillespie's "A Night in Tunisia"? They do a great rendition of it, and I think they've pulled it out at every show I've seen them play over the years. The band brings up the tempo, gives it a funkier flare, and throws some cool DJ "scratches" during phrase breaks. Anyway, glad to see these guys getting some press in jambase.
