bradm Posted April 2, 2006 Report Share Posted April 2, 2006 Janine Stoll, whose trio includes the guitarist and bass player from Mr. Something Something, is playing The Rainbow in Ottawa tonight, Sunday, April 2. Since I seem to have recovered from Friday night , I think I'll have enough energy for this one. It's supposed to be a 9pm start, so I'm hopeful it won't go too late. Anybody else up for this? bradm Posted April 3, 2006 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2006 DEM (and anybody else who can make it), clear out the night of Wednesday, April 12, as you'll want to be at Janine Stoll's next show in Ottawa at The Rainbow. The show tonight was one of those "best show nobody ever saw" things. It wasn't dancy/groovy music, it was music that let you stand there, rapt, at what unfolded in front of you. Her tunes have feet in all kinds of genres, from jazz to cabaret to folk to singer/songwriter to rock, almost. And Paul and Liam (from Mr. Something Something) work perfectly as her backing band.
