headymamamyrna Posted November 25, 2006 Report Share Posted November 25, 2006 So one month from today is Christmas Eve!What are you doing to prepare for this very special time?I have been doing a bit of shopping and can't wait to put the lights outside and the tree up.The most exciting part for me is that my family will be here to celebrate and to me thats the most important part of it all!I wish you all happy feelings about this special time! I'm not sure whether we'll be having our traditional Christmas cake** with dinner, but I'm hopeful. Aloha, Brad * Well, we usually get Henkell Troken, which probably isn't a true champagne, but it's what we like. ** Take an angel food cake, shred it into 1" (or so) cubes; melt chocolate chips, and fold into whipped cream. Combine the cake with the chocolate/cream mixture, and pour into a 9" x 13" cake pan. Let sit overnight in the fridge, covered in plast wrap, held above the cake by toothpicks.
