The first ever underwater ice hockey world cup has taken place in a frozen lake in Austria /Europics Eight nations battled it out in the freezing water under a thick ice covering - without oxygen. The no oxygen rule meant that players had to resurface frequently through special holes drilled in the ice so they could get air. Finland won in the final beating Austria 7:4.
