Zoophorus Update

Derek from Upstream Entertainment just sent out the following update for the Zoophorus festival (Aug 30th in Whistler). Looks like Dr. Didg is the replacement!

Wow Gang, soooo much has happened since our last post it's crazy....

Where do we begin ?

1. With Zoophorus just around the corner we thought we had our ducks pretty much lined up,

however due to circumstances beyond our control The New Deal has decided to cancel their scheduled appearance

at Zoophorus this year. This made the last little while pretty hectic at the Upstream Headquarters to say the least.

Although the remaining line up is more than sufficient to be an outstanding day of music, we wanted more...

We've scoured North America for a decent addition(s) that would fit into the line-up without changing the

direction (vibe) we are trying to go with this thing. (note Georgia Straight Ad this week, the Pharcyde is NOT on bill)

2. That being said.....We are ecstatic to announce the return of Dr. Didg (aka Graham Wiggins) to Whistler as he is

the latest addition to the Zoophorus line up. Dr.Didg will be playing a Superjam set, jam packed full of surprises for you,

frankly we're not really sure what is going to happen here but with all the musical talent on site,

the possibilities are endless. One thing we do know for sure is... it's definitely going to blow you all away.

The Didgeridoo Dance Experience is now part of the festivities!!!

3. The Garaj Mahal Late-nite show ( Hello...All Star Superjam!!!) is quickly selling out, so we have

decided to add an additional Garaj Mahal show to the Zoophorus weekend. This second Superjam will be held at

The Boot Pub on Sun. Aug.31 extending the party one more day. Like the night before Garaj Mahal will be

teaming up with the likes of Dr. Didg and Global Funk Council to create another unstoppable dance party.

This is what it's all about people

4. During our relentless search for a replacement we began discussions with a local

booking agency and have decided to add a local showcase of sorts onto the bill.

That being said we are also announcing The Sweatshop Union, Curtis Santiago,

and 4th World featuring dreamworks recording artist Emotionz to the Zoo Bill.

5. DJ Maseo (of De La Soul) will now be moving over to the GLC to party party.

(All DJ Maseo tickets will be honored at the G.L.C.)

6. Due to the cancellation of the New Deal Late-nite show, all who have a

New Deal late nite tickets, can return to point of purchase for trade or refund)
