I understand there's a formal way to do this, other than just typing it in yourself. I have to do this for a paper I'm submitting this morning with stringent word count limitations, and can't seem to figure it out. improviser Posted April 13, 2007 Report Share Posted April 13, 2007 Put the cursor wherever you want the word count to appear in the document.Insert>Field>Field Name: NumWords, Format: (none), Numeric format: 0, Preserve format during updates: checked.Make sure to Right Click (on the field)>Update field, before printing.Good luck.
