Longshot ... Music in Qualicum Beach / Parksville?

I'm in Whistler right now, but I'll be in Qualicum Beach on Monday until Thursday morning. Can anyone tell me anywhere to see a band play in that area of the Island?

On Wednesday Mark Robertson from Bullfrog is playing in Nanaimo at the Queen's.

If would be cool if you came down here.

Other than that I really don't know.

Qualicum and Parksville are pretty much retirement communities.

Oh yeah, if you come to the Robertson show I can finally hand you those DVDs I burned for you months ago. :blush:

I have no idea who Mark Robertson or Bullfrog are, but I think I might do that. When I get to Parksville tomorrow night I'll figure it out, and let you know via this thread. I'd like to meet you in person anyway.

Bullfrog was a funk band out of Montreal that Kid Koala played with. They were excellent. Mark Robertson was the singer/guitar player. The last time I saw him it was with a three piece band playing the Bullfrog songs. It wasn't quite the same as but still a fun show.

The Bass Player for Vitamin-L is also the bass player for Slammin Jack... and if you head north from Cumberland and watch for the Merville Hall, you might find yourself in South Jackton!! At that point, you'd better clear your schedule.
