I noticed this band was playing and they had some hand drums, and a didg, so I thought I'd stop and check it out. Hey, I dig music! Wow! What good fortune. The band is called OKA and they are from Australia. They weave an amazing fusion of aboriginal, jazz, and ambient. Really unique. The good news is that they are playing again tomorrow for the street festival (front st. between Jarvis and Church). But the bad news is I have no idea what time, the schedule for the Toronto Busker fest for some reason doesn't have them listed. They are going to be in town for another week, but unfortunatley I don't think they have the contacts to hook up a gig. Which is really unfortunate.
