The album features a duet with Elvis Costello ("Jailhouse Tears") as well as a song Williams wrote in 1985 ("Circles and X's"). Other guest vocalists include Matthew Sweet, Susanna Hoffs, Jim Lauderdale, Tim Easton and Charlie Louvin.
