For an impulse buy, this disc sure paid off in full like it ain't no thang. I've never listen to any Marsalis besides Branford playing with the Dead, so this disc, which features the four sons playing along side their father was quite the mindbender. I bought the disc to see if I wanted to catch the show at the NAC later this year. The tix for the show are rather pricey ($100), so I figure an investment of $20 would've been wise first. highly recommended if you have even the slightest interest in jazz. Graham, davey boy and CatPhish I believe will remember catching Ellis and Branford together at the Ottawa Jazzfest a couple of years back and wow! what a show!
