The NuFunk Festival goes global in a big way with Nu World: Earthbeat. On Friday, March 6th, both floors of Revival will come alive with a spectacular array of live and DJ worldfusion and dub sounds. This sonic feast features two Juno nominees for Best World Music Recording-- Canada's finest global rhythms DJ Adham Shaikh and its premier live fusion band Eccodek. Joining these masters are one of T.O's most innovative new fusion projects Huelepega Soundsystem, the city's foremost ethnogroovolist dj medicineman, Zumba from the legendary Sumkidz collective -- and just announced, the sublime Indocentric beatsmith Jacob Cino & Third Eye Tribe.

A Canadian pioneer of dub and it's fusions, Jacob Cino has been producing and MCing for over 16 years. Cutting his teeth with years of drum'n'bass, MCing, and DJing, the founder of the group Third Eye Tribe continues to explore producing new bass territories. A self proclaimed "Bass Slut", Jacob is a fan of big bottoms. As a DJ, Jacob invokes a vast palate of influences both sonic and cultural, all grounded in the ethos and tradition of Soundsystem Culture. Expect to hear dub, dubstep, dubby dubstep. dancehall, Zouk, reggaeton, Digidancehall, Steppers, Soca , soukous, original hybrids and everything in between.

It will be BIG and SERIOUS, trust we!
