With so many guitar projects, including four other bands, it’s amazing how Jerry Garcia still has the time to dabble in visual arts in between. But he does and both are done distinctively. He has been drawing and painting since he was young but he never really got to do much. That was until he joined an art course at the San Francisco Art Institute. During that short course, he met Wally Hedrick, his teacher and a renowned artist during the 60’s. Wally Hedrick encouraged him to continue on painting and drawing. If not onstage with his band, Jerry Garcia is attending his own art shows in many cities in the United States.Throughout the course of his life, he has created about 500 visual pieces using varied mediums ’til his death in August 1995. He has sold hundreds of his works. He has even sold thousands of lithographs. Now, more than 10 years after his death, his legendary musical gift lives on. He was ranked 13 in Rolling Stones’ Top 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. But his contribution to the visual arts still remains ignored.Jerry Garcia ties are a perfect remembrance to his impeccable visual sense and expression. Based on his thought-provoking paintings, owning a Jerry Garcia neckties is very much the same as owning a genuine Jerry Garcia painting. It cannot only serve as a great conversation piece, but it can serve as a great way to remember the artistic footprints he left behind.A great place to find neckties that speak of character is etrendzshop.com. Jerry Garcia neckties and even the popular Donald Trump Ties are just a few examples of the wide array of neck ties available for sale at etrendzshop.com .
