phishtaper
ok, longshot here ... does anyone know of a free downloadable ap that will calculate linear distance between two postal codes. i have 3000 listings and i want to calculate how far each is from one central point. or, is this maybe even available within some existing programs that you know of? thanks. even if I can just get the lat/long coords for all of them (en masse), i can calculate distance. AD
Maybe these guys (http://distancecheck.com/ca/) have a tool in the back-end of their site that you can use to batch the process.
AD
Also, if you have a google maps API key you can use this tool: http://www.eyesis.ca/projects/calcdistance.html
boiler
I'm thinking there's no such thing as a long shot around here. Collectively, I think jambands.ca knows everything. (AD compromising at least 50% of that knowledge)
phishtaper
cool, thanks AD. i ended up downloading a shareware program called Postal Code Distance Wizard which was $30. I managed to run and export the whole set of 3000 calculations out of my ten free tries so I didnt need to buy it. coolio.
