Ladies and Gentlemen the United Steel Workers of Montreal are putting out the call: Banjo/Mandolin, Electric Guitar players wanted.

Due to the rigors of life and touring and babies and beer the United Steel Workers of Montreal find themselves in need of some new talent to join the team. Could this be you?

We are looking to temporarily replace our Electric Guitar Player while he is on extended paternity leave. We also have a permanent position open for a Banjo/Mandolin Player.

To qualify:

• You must be available to tour from Feb 2010 through Mid-August 2010.

• You must have a stage set up for you instruments (i.e. Pickup and amp or di, preamp) and must be able to learn the tunes quickly from CD’s supplied.

• A good stage presence and talent are the big goals here.

• Must be able to tour other countries with no border crossing problems and hold a valid passport

• You must be willing to spend countless hours in a van with 5 other people and have the willingness to love your fellow man and sleep were you can.

• Must be clean and not smell, willing to change your clothes regularly.

The USWM’s tour plans include: East Coast of Canada in February, Quebec and Ontario in March, Europe in April (Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands) and have a comprehensive Canadian festival tour in the planning stages for June - August.

The band pays for all travel and accoms. The ryders take care of a fair amount of the beer and food. The band also pays a daily per dium, and a weekly salary.
