Seeing George Thorogood in Ottawa? Arrive Early

National Arts Centre patrons encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays caused by the Ottawa Race Weekend.

Ottawa (Canada) – Members of the public who have tickets for the Saturday, May 29th evening performance of George Thorogood at the National Arts Centre are encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays caused by downtown road closures resulting from the Ottawa Race Weekend.

There is an evening run planned on May 29th, and many downtown roads will be closed until as late as 9:00 pm. Police say they will open up traffic occasionally on Elgin Street to allow NAC ticket holders to gain access to the garage.

The NAC will have staff on hand to help patrons get to their performances on time. Another option is to park nearby at the Rideau Centre, or the World Exchange office building at 100 Queen St. and walk a block to gain access to the NAC.
