Joe Chithalen was the bass player in The Mahones ( and tons of other great bands in Kingston like Joyy and Bloom ) who died in Amsterdam from an alergic food reaction in 1999. I saw Joe perform many times and this Doobie Brothers news is a great boon for this annual charity festival.
