Another great casting job by Marvel

Marvel is casting Joaquin Phoenix to play Dr. Strange in yet another brilliant move in their amazing line of movies. I think that the actor is perfect for the role as he can be serious, dark, creepy, yet sympathetic. All the qualities needed to play Stephen Strange.

Is there a Dr. Strange movie being made?  I can't keep up with Marvel.  Loved Guardians, and just saw Cap : winter solder which was also fun.  I'm expecting Avengers 2 to be the next movie but I have no clue.

Avengers 2 is next, and the last movie of "Phase 2". Dr. Strange will be part of "Phase 3".

 

So far the confirmed movies for Phase 3 are:

• Ant-Man (2015)
• Captain America 3 (2016)
• Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (2017)
• Doctor Strange (TBA)
• Thor 3 (TBA)
• The Avengers 3 (TBA)

Of course the underlying plot for Phase 3 can be nothing other than:

 

 

This does not take into account the TV shows that Marvel is developing for Netflix starring Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, culminating in a Defenders storyline.

Goddamn I'm glad I did my nerd research growing up, because movies have become awesome again thanks to Marvel (sorry DC, but you suck).

This is one helluva movie factory they have in service.  Planned in phases? holy crap.   If only lucas could have pulled this off with his little fantasy universe.
