Guest Low Roller
Bradm posted this on his Facebook page.http://ultimateclassicrock.com/doors-bass-players/?trackback=fbshare_top When you listen to the Doors studio albums, you would swear that you hear a bass in the background, but the common narrative would have you believe that it was Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek who was laying down the bass with his left hand, and the melody with his right. That was in fact the case when the band played live. But in a mind shattering revelation the Doors did in fact use a bass player in the studio. Not just one, numerous bass players, all of whom went uncredited on the album credits. The article does a great job bringing all of them to light. Rob Not Bob
I don't think they were all uncredited. I'm pretty sure, at least, that Jerry Scheff, Harvey Brooks and Ray Neapolitan all got listed in the album credits.
