What was it like to work with Simone?

He is a total lyrics freak and him and I really obsess over them. 

He’s the only other person I’ve met who is equally obsessed. We’d go out on the bikes and ride around and when we hit some lights, we’d stop and sing a line back at each other. He’d say his line and I’d say mine. 

It was like meditating on a bike. And that is how the song Angela was written. 

You couldn’t have scripted it but it was an amazing way to write.

Simone isn’t known as a big producer but I think he will be. He’s very inspiring. 

I would love to work with him again. It was very spiritual, amazing and a rewarding experience. 

It was the most densely packed six weeks of my life. Whenever it would get too intense, we’d go for a ride.
