bONES Posted January 30, 2004 Report Share Posted January 30, 2004 I can tell you it's a busy time to be in N'awlin's...but a FUN time I was there last year, and music was happening everywhere! one night we went out to see Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey begin their show at 4am lots of musicians will sit in with one another...you never know what can happen! last year at Tipitina's "Superfly" productions put on this Monster Jam night...ya i'd recommend the Jazz Fest Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Groove Fetish Posted January 30, 2004 Report Share Posted January 30, 2004 we went for the whole sheebang pretty much in 2002- drove- went in debt to hang downtown and have too much fun seeing EVERYTHING! and there is too much to go to- you can either go with no tickets and see what happens or get all the sweet shows way in advance by sniffing them out just before they go on sale- like House of Blues shows, the Howlin' Wolf, Tip's and many more locations- ummmm there was a site that I remember being the best early low down- I'll see if I can find it.... here check this site...they keep ya posted as they find it out locally! 2004 jazz fest- Miss Neen's Grids by Pet De Kat Krewe Here's ones I'd try not to miss if I could go... Wed 4/28 Garage a Trois - Tipitina's Uptown and Fri 4/30 - Sex Mob - Tulane University and maybe one of these shows Fri 4/30 - Gov't Mule - Orpheum Theatre Sat 5/1 - Gov't Mule - Orpheum Theatre this one could be worth while... Sat 5/1 - Taj Mahal - House of Blues (not sure if this is with Susan Tedechi or a separate show) cause this is also listed... I could go down for this, it will be mighty expensive it seems, but, it fits my time line.. or I can go to Bonnaroo again... and miss a day of school.... what the hell should I do???
