RED HILL VIDEO ROAD SHOW

Thursday February 12th, 7:00 p.m. MacKinnon Rm. 115 University of Guelph

Hand held video cameras capture the many faceted and constantly changing seasons of struggle for Red Hill Valley.

The RED HILL VIDEO COLLECTIVE have compiled a documentary about the efforts to save Red Hill Valley in Hamilton's east end.

Valley protectors get inside the action as they blend activism and journalism, getting the story out without mainstream media interference.

The City of Hamilton's single-minded purpose to build the Red Hill Creek Expressway bumps up against widespread opposition, yet despite the devastating impact on the earth, aboriginal treaty rights or the possible existence of ancient burial sites the city refuses to do anything to halt their pet project. As a result an amazing array of dedicated opponents to the project, including aboriginal valley protectors trying to preserve the natural and spiritual significance of the valley, have banded together to seek justice for the earth.

The RED HILL VIDEO ROAD SHOW takes you inside the movement and covers the gamut of activities and key players, with exclusive footage of protests, rallies, creative uprisings, the building of a longhouse, arrests and more.

You won't want to miss this unique opportunity to engage in the debate and struggle for Red Hill.
