And the first 'Osbournes' rip-off is ...

Roll over, Ozzy, and tell "Survivor" the news: Anna Nicole Smith is getting into the reality-TV game.

Variety reports that the E! Network is going ahead with a weekly half-hour reality series based on the former Playboy Bunny turned heiress. "The Anna Nicole Smith Show" will begin airing in late July or early August in a 10 p.m. time slot.

Executives with the network told Variety that the plan originated after a "True Hollywood Story" program detailing Smith's tumultuous life garnered big ratings, even during repeats.

A spin-off program about Smith was talked up, and when MTV's reality series "The Osbournes" -- which follows the life of Ozzy Osbourne and his family -- proved to be a hit, they fast-tracked the Smith show.

"Obviously when that show came in, ours became a much better idea to us," E! Network exec Mark Sonnenberg told Variety.

The series will follow Smith, her teenage son, her lawyer, and assistant.
