Jaimoe
Anyone going? They play Aug. 26th. I may be lured to Ottawa to catch these disturbed geniuses.
Maddak
I've heard that they are playing, but I haven't heard anything about ticket sales yet. Any news on when they are on sale, and for how much?
Jaimoe
The show is actually Aug 24th, and the tickets are already on sale - I checked their website.
Maddak
Hmm on sale already, I wonder if that means that only nose bleeds are left... I suppose there's only one way to find out.
Maddak
I think only floor seats are available now, but that's the only way to see Tool. $50 for the floor tickets and seats that are not oxygen deprived. $30 for the nose bleeds.
CharlieDon'tSurf
i'd give my left nut to go, but I gotta go to one of those proverbial and mostly useless summertime weddings - two peolpe I don't know, getting lots of gifts and worrying themselves stupid that Aunt Velma doesn't get too drunk and hit on Uncle Shmoe... It better be an open bar...chug-a-lug...
Northern Wish
I would rethink that one. Maynard defintely has the ego rock thing going on. My brother and his friends shelled out $50 to go see them at the Air Canada Center in To. The show that Tool put on was LESS THAN 1 HOUR. I guess there were two opening bands that played as long as the headliner. That coupled with the fact that Maynard stood behind an opaque screen on stage the whole time, and no one could see him (just his shadow). I like Tool as much as the next head, but really that is like slapping your fans in the face. Sean
CharlieDon'tSurf
...you can never expect much from an 'arena' concert, no matter who it is these days... still its worth the experience (maybe not the cash, but now that I get one of those crazy things called a 'paycheque', I'm like all wacky with money) even if there is that inherent 'rockstar' attitude...
