The Hold Steady: Winnipeg Throw Down

Confession time. I'm a lurker. I've been one for years. I read regularly and never post.

I always enjoy the music recommendations of NorthernWish which led me to explore The Hold Steady.

I caught them last night at The West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg and can honestly say - I've never had that musical experience before.

Simply put - the energy in the room and what was coming off the stage was intense! Craig Finn scared me.

I know they're headed to Toronto. For what it's worth from a longtime Phish fan and lover of music, these cats split open my musical mind last night.

NorthernWish - keep the music suggestions coming. When I read that Springsteen & Phish played together this summer, I smiled & thought of you. I thought of your little apartment in the North End of Saint John and smiled at the good times had.
