  1. Sounds good! I've got Chrome Dreams I and it's amazing (it was compiled by Young freaks and has impeccable sound). Can't believe it was ever shelved.
  2. Thanks for the link Al: http://rat-dog.com/aug04.html
  3. Imagine what the sound like is with this system. I think I would have made room for some friends to sit down and enjoy as well http://www.fresh99.com/music-room.htm

  5. What about Janet? http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=216324&hubname= TSN.ca Staff 8/17/2007 9:48:57 AM Former National Hockey League player and Phoenix Coyotes associate coach Rick Tocchet received his sentence on Friday morning, as he was convicted on third-degree conspiracy to promote gambling and third-degree promoting gambling. Tocchet, who appeared in Superior Court on Friday morning in New Jersey as a first-time offender, received two years probation concurrently on each count and will not likely serve jail time. Under New Jersey law, third-degree crimes carry a maximum sentence of five years in state prison, while third-degree gambling offenses also carry a criminal fine of up to $25,000. Tocchet has been on indefinite leave from his job as Wayne Gretzky's top assistant coach with the Coyotes since he was charged in February of 2006. Related Info * TSN.ca Poll: Should Tocchet be allowed back? Neither Coyotes nor NHL officials have decided whether to allow him to return. Tocchet, 43, is the second person sentenced in the case state authorities dubbed "Operation Slap Shot." New Jersey state trooper James Harney was sentenced to five years in state prison earlier this month after he pled guilty to conspiracy, promoting gambling and official misconduct. A third man, James Ulmer, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy and promoting gambling, is scheduled to be sentenced later this month. According to police, in the month leading up to the charges, more than 1,000 wagers were taken at an estimated worth of $1.7 million. Bets were placed on college football and the NFL but not on hockey, authorities and NHL officials said. Tocchet played in 1,144 regular-season games with the Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers, scoring 440 goals and 952 points and 52 goals and 112 points in in 145 playoff games.
  6. LOL ... fair enough ... but you could sell those Blues to the locals instead I may use the line "Kind [color:blue]Blue for your Kind [color:green]Green"
  7. AWESOME! Bruce is one amazing dude. I would love to hang out with him and shoot the breeze.
  8. #255 Songs about going to a show (concert) as a performer. 1. ACDC - It's a long way to the top(If You Wanna Rock and Roll) 2. Jackson Browne - The Load-Out 3. Queen - Let Me Entertain You (featuring Freddie Mercury, the best male rock and roll singer of all time) 4. 13 Days - J.J. Cale 5. Woodstock - Joni Mitchell 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
  9. Especially not one of those trippy 11 minute versions
  10. GREAT find! Thanks for posting.
  11. And what if they had to pay for all of the "private" soldiers over there? How about another $30 BILLION in arms to Israel? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6948981.stm
  12. Definitely want to see this one. As much as Maher can be a bit annoying at times, I like it when he takes his stance on religion and politics. I'm glad that this release will keep the dialogue open, and may make some people ask themselves some questions. Go Bill Go
  13. Great pick with Lobos! I'm also in with the Floyd one as well ... very well known and to me, is the song that is the weakest on DSOTM and a bit out of place.
  14. If you spot a prerelease anywhere (OINK, etc) let me know! Can't wait to hear the new material and then see it LIVE!
  15. Bill Maher's Pro-Atheism Documentary to Be Released on Easter Posted by Adam Howard on August 16, 2007 at 6:54 AM. In the video to your right, Bill Maher chats with Larry King about a new film he's planning to release. "Religulous" (as in ridiculous) will attempt to poke fun at what Maher feels is the absurdity and inherently comical nature of most organized religions. "I think it's going to release a great torrent of energy," Maher says. Maher argues that none of us know what happens to us when we die and those who purport to tell us what happens should be seriously questioned. "We need a person of doubt in the White House, not a person of faith," Maher says. Along with "Borat" director Larry Charles, Maher traveled to religious holy sites all over the world to make this film. He doesn't want to compare himself to Michael Moore but he says with pride. "I think I've offended everybody." Check out the video to your right for more.
  16. LOL ... this is true. My step mother thought that's who they were! And she claims to have been front row at a Hendrix show on the West Coast? I call BULLSHIT.
  17. I think the Stevie pick is fine. Horrible song, but one of his most successful singles. People KNOW who it's by: The song was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks from October 13, 1984 and also became Wonder's first solo UK number-one hit, staying at the top for six weeks. It also won a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
  18. I'd say one of the following: Bouncing Around The Room Simple Contact
  19. TBastard has a deal on tix. 4-pack of lawn tix for $75. With the fees, they end up being around $25 each. Not Bad!!! The last couple of shows have been very under-attended supposedly.
  20. Good points about ToG. As the title includes the word Grey, I would put it in a grey-zone on this one. It can be seen both ways in terms of it's overall-sound. It is widely associated with the Dead for sure!!! It was their only top-charting hit ... that means the general population knows the song (unlike HOT DOG!) Dump the Dog man! ;P
  21. Can't wait to hear this one: Bruce Springsteen's 'Magic' Set for October 2 Release on Columbia Records 'Magic,' Bruce Springsteen's new studio recording and his first with the E Street Band in five years, is set for release by Columbia Records on October 2, 2007. Devil's Arcade 'Magic' is the first new studio album by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band since 2002's GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum, number one album 'The Rising' (Columbia Records), which was also produced by O'Brien. Bruce Springsteen's longtime manager Jon Landau said, "'Magic' is a high energy rock CD. It’s light on its feet, incredibly well played by Bruce and the members of the E Street Band, and, as always, has plenty to say. It’s also immensely entertaining. 'Magic' is the third collaboration between Bruce and Brendan O'Brien and is a culmination of their very productive creative relationship."
  22. #254: But that's not what they sound like: Songs widely associated with a given artist that aren't an accurate representation of the artist's overall sound. 1. Blind Melon - No Rain 2. White Stripes - Little Ghost 3. Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry Be Happy 4. The Gourds - Gin & Juice 5. Led Zeppelin - Hot Dog 6. The Grateful Dead - Touch Of Grey 7. Stevie Wonder - I just called to say I love you 8. Genesis - I Can't Dance 9. 10. 11. 12. *Dispute: Hot Dog? How many people think of Zeppelin when they hear that name? Come on. Touch of Grey? I vote to keep it in. It's in the same vein as submitting Contact by Phish, IMHO.
