I used to live at 325 Erb St.
Then you must obviously understand these paintings.
-
And here's the link to the one that started it all.

I wanted to download one of the new shows on this tour to see how it sounds.
This looks like a good start.

Duane has a new Youtube "video" up to get everyone in the mood for Halloween.
And this one is a collection of some of his light-hearted doodles:
Check-em Out!

Who is "Schwa" anyway?
-
Maybe Schwa could be this weeks avatar theme?
It's too bad he quit the board and won't be able to see them, however.
-
But your post total was just getting good!
Oh well another wayward son.........

Does Bobby ask them to "Take a step back, and now another, and now take another step back, take a step back"?

addicts or users, MaxWebster?
Well now that's a personal question isn't it.
Are you an addiction counsellor? Can we send you PMs to discuss our problems?
-
I guess it would certainly be ammusing if this place became some kind of drug users help group...
Have I been going to the wrong web-page all these years?
I was sure this was the place all the drug-addicts get together to talk about their lives........

Nice gig. Way to go guys!

Okay I found the article I was referring to.
In High Times August 2002 Trey talks about dropping acid in the desert in Utah and how that would usually inspire him to write music.
High Times: What about Ecstasy?
Trey: I've done it three times. It's not my thing. It's too predictable.
Not that he has any obligation to spill his guts on his drug use in an interview. But on the other hand he didn't have to do an interview with High Times as those sorta questions were bound to come up.
-
Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure it was a High Times article because it was the first time I had ever read Trey admitting to using ANY drugs. He also goes on to say the whole band used to eat tons of 'shrooms and lock themselves in a rehearsal space for 12 hours at a time to jam and come up with new ideas etc.

Inglewood Eddie?
Maybe that could be a contest:
"Name our band mascot"

I always knew Phish ate a lot of e (personal info), back in the 90's, but the coke thing just seems so alien for a guy like Trey.
Sorry, I was trying to quote this statement with my previous comment on E. The coke thing and Trey have seemed to go hand in hand for sometime now (at least from my personal experience have met someone who claimed he knew Trey's coke dealer).
Perhaps in that interview I have Trey is responding/reacting to the other Phish members use of E.
I will find it for some clarity on this subject.
-
The only interview I've read with Trey where he discusses E he says he tried it a couple of times (while at raves) but found it to be "too predictable". He said he preferred mushrooms more. This interview was from the last 5-6 years and may have been from High Times I'll have to go home and find it tonight.

Hey Schwa,
Why do't you vollunteer to help Backbacon make up those hours? Last time I checked you were just lounging around the house.
-
i say we start a "What the Folk" cover band and call it Van Hurlen
Even Better! Are you busy that night?
-
You know what!? I'm sick of this! I won't be there unless we stick with the original name "Van Hurlen"
Wanna start a petition? Or maybe we could start a band called Van Hurlen and play the Circus room the same night.
-
Yeah haven't seen lots of people in way too long.
Hope to see everybody at the Diesel Dog show on the 20th.
Duane is working on a poster and/or T-shirt for the show which should be wicked (wickedly evil that is).

Nice!
I thought that their website needed an overhaul.

I can't wait! A show review in Relix said he only played 4 songs from the new album and a lot of material from Graceland. The new album is actually really good so I really don't care what he plays.
Maybe someone can clarify, the HOB website said Jerry Douglas is the opening act but I don't recall hearing/reading that anywhere else.
Anyone?
