  1. man, when i was in high school (my) life was all about the artsy "fags"! talent is sexy! who gets laid the most on this scene? the musicians, that's who. the chick that said that to you sounds like she is a little uncomfortable in her own shoes, i feel sorry for her unborn kid, i hope she gives it up for adoption so she doesn't perpetuate generational ignorance.

  2. official rating of friday night: barrell of red monkeys!

mark you can consider it my official position to do the door for the first set of any show i am at, i love doing door, but after the first set i am way to hyper (read drunk) to be competent! :D

it was cool meeting some people from the board, Little Miss Pink, Esau, Willy, i saw you but i don't think i actually met you, same goes for number two. see you guys at ctmf (?)

oh yeah, there were some diesel dog cd's at the door trying to be sold, does anyone know what happened to them?

  3. the man rocks!

his band is so fun to see and hear

ctmf kicks ass, it is an undeniably good time and a staple event of the jamband scene in ontario.

he hosted that fundraiser for the ottawa people for free at his house!

the man is a giver, so give'r up for mark wilson and fuck the fuckers who are naysaying ctmf!

  4. i also find the kids that think their mullets will bleed if you cut them quite a weird aspect of the environment. but i love ctmf. the fact that there is swimming available in waterford and the fact that i dont have to book the weekend off of work as i can go to work from izzy's and come right back garuntees my presence. is there anything more fun to do on may 2-4 than see dozens of great bands in a beautiful spot with several hundred nice people that you have partied with before? i mean, we may not all know each other but generally we are familiar faces and that is a great feeling!hey, i'll make a deal...if over a thousand people show up for this i will swim naked! ::

  5. [color:"purple"] i'd be shocked if you had tomorrow planned jared! come on, ctmf is on for sure and it is at izzy's for sure. i know these things. ctmf is a huge barrell of monkeys, you know you love it! [color:"purple"]

  6. I think it's "make-it-or-break-it" time. We're 7 weeks away and we've got nothing. It's time to start making other plans.

I know a place we can party. Has anyone ever been to the White Sands Campground at Sauble Beach? They've got this "no rules" area way in the back that always turns into a party. I'll be we can haul some instruments and some firewood and some booze up there and have an amazing party. Anyone?

[color:"purple"] that's retarded. ctmf all the way [color:"purple"]
  7. i don't understand how jail is supposed to make people better. i don't see the point of jail. i agree that some people have committed crimes and therefore have a debt to society, but how does sitting in a little room and sucking up taxpayer money repay that debt? does it make these people more productive members of society? does it change their outlook on life? does it make anyone at all more happy? i think jail is only even somewhat a viable option for a person if they are so mentally deranged and their crime was so heinous that they are not even very human. like in the case of bernardo/holmolka. there is something seriously wrong with those people and i don't think they could ever be out in society. but i think most people that get sent to jail just need something in their life to change. some people need education, of some form or other, anything from basic life skills to social skills to emotional help or even just a creative outlet. in the case of this eco-terrorist, i believe that education on more effective means of communication and activism are in order. he could be taught everything from "i feel" statements to ghandi's passive resistance to mandela's non-violent opposition. i really think these philosophies could change his life. ghandi and mandela brought down some very powerful empires using these methods. education is the key, jail is a waste of everyone's time and money.

all the people i know who have gone to jail did not come out in any better circumstance. some were more likely to commit another crime because of the attitudes and values that they learned in prison, not to mention the social networks they developed inside. other people were scared to get caught again but not anymore against performing the activity that they went to jail for, they just did not want to be caught again. other people were emotionally and physically scarred from jail and were as useful as tits on a bull once they got out. i have not seen jail effect anyone in a truly positive manner yet. it does not have any rehabilitative effect. all jail does is keep people out of society for a little while. a lot of times the end result is "worse" for society. the entire concept of jail is almost pointless.

  8. thanks for the ego boost,133. apparently i am a visionary philosopher much like plato. except i am not an asexual freak, (i am a very sexual freak ::) everyone should now come to live with me in the republic of bokonon and forget plato's republic!

you may now begin chanting "we love the leader!" :D

  9. [color:"purple"] i miss the old way too! is this designed on a mac or something, i thought my screen was at the default setting but stuff is all cut off, and man, i am way too lazy for that scrolling bullshit. i definitely think the censor should fuck off too. if i want to fucking swear i will. other people are free to spread the word of their god of choice, i choose no god and therefore should be allowed to spread godless words. :: cant we all just get along, fucking censors. ;) love the speed. and the favorite thread thing is cool too. same with the sneaky features of checking who is online and what they are doing. i feel like the government :) i like the idea of font colours too (obviously) i can now fully express my geekdom by writing in purple. yea!
