  1. FIRST OFFICIAL DATES SINCE SEPTEMBER 2000

Strangefolk have announced a very special reunion weekend with founding members Reid Genauer, Jon Trafton, Erik Glockler, and Luke Smith. The band will be performing at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT and State Theater in Portland, ME. This special event marks the first time the band has played together formally onstage since their farewell Garden of Eden concert in New Haven, VT in September 2000.

"We've been talking about doing something like this for years. It's really a thrill to announce these shows and be working together toward a common goal again," says Jon Trafton, Strangefolk guitarist. "It's been great to reconnect with each other. Playing Higher Ground and The State feels like coming home."

    Strangefolk Reunion Dates

Friday March, 30 Higher Ground, Burlington, VT (Tickets go on sale this Friday)

  6. Actually he only had 8 tottal. just talked to matty and he said that's it. Cantoms the staff yesterday said once everyone is in the room if they can fit anyone else in they will. But i doubt it. If they leave the chairs and tables that place will be packed. i got the last tickets of 50 plus whatever else other places had. Won't be much room in their. good luck

  7. last nights show in montreal was fantastic. The crowd was very loud!! Very energetic show. I must say I saw them last year to about 700 people at the national. Which was awesome. But even in this bigger venue i find the bands energy is just so strong if fills the entire room irregardless of the size of the room and marcus voice is a large part of that. so strong and passionate. Have fun in hamilton

  8. Hey Folks- Does anyone know if this is sold out?

We were away in NC this weekend when the mavericks tickets went on sale online(box office shows no event now)

Don't want to reserve our room/train if the shutout is likely.

they have been taken down from the maverics website. Supposedly their was going to be some more hard tickets at vertigo records. I just called and they don' have any yet.

  9. yeah, it's too bad there wasn't some way to drink booze from home while at the show...

we can bring our own plastic coffee mugs, get a cup of their tasty coffee then spike it with our vodka from home ;) vodka dosn't smell too harsh so after you go back for your fifth cup of coffee they shouldn't smell the vodka ;)

  10. These guys have a fair amount of other material that isn't on any discs yet and they have been playing new stuff recently, just gotta poke around haters...

My interest hasn't swayed, in fact with these show announcements, it caused me to dig deeper and find some nice surprises.

yup, if all three of them went to the show i think their minds would be changed. and yes they have alot more material. The show i saw in montreal last november they jammed with cadillac sky as well which was awesome. here is hoping they have another stellar opener
