So sorry Kev. Hugs.

Welcome to the board amason. Nice first post!

Sounds like fun AD. Thanks for the summary.

I think Bluesfest hit it out of the park this year. I have never enjoyed it so much and it's also the most I've attended it, at 6 nights. This year also had me at the main stage more then ever before.
Best show by a landslide: Arcade Fire
Show I missed but wished I hadn't: Flaming Lips
Biggest disappointment: Plants and Animals
Pleasant surprise: Gram Parsons Tribute
I loved Mill Street beer, was amazed by the lack of lawnchairs and the etiquette of their occupants this year and I missed the Black Sheep stage.

Awesome, good looking out guys and gals!

FAIL. It makes absolutely no sense if he's wearing a shirt.

LOL what a story!
-
The shooters were amazing and I have been craving them since.

COOOOOOOOOL! You know those 12 year old kids that play sweet covers on Booth St while the Fest is letting people out? Arcade Fire went and played with them after their show the other night! Pretty awesome.

THAT. IS. AWESOME.

But at least you and Mike and RobL(?) had a pretty awesome view of part of the show, right?
And the sound was MUCH better there. A lot more low end.

Arcade Fire ruined me for Plants and Animals tonight. I have listened to P&A constantly in the past 10 months and my hopes were too high maybe. All in all it was merely a meh.
-
Dang that's awesome.

I do a 5km run a couple times a week for the past few years and each and every time, I feel like giving up in the last kilometer. That just so happens to be on Wellington where the Terry Fox monument is. I look at him and keep going. With all of his accomplishments, I can surely finish 5km.
What an inspiration.

Jaybone, I was hoping to hear from you. Uno was on my list but it was ify, now it's a definite!
Alinea looks right up my ally. Beautiful photos on the website, and since it's a culinary trip, the price doesn't seem too bad (especially with the help of free flights!)
Dighy, I would only go see Oprah around Christmas when she gives out free stuff.

Summer just isn't the same without seeing you Mark. Happy birthday and much love my friend.

I wonder how popular that comedy tent has been, anybody have a sense?
Looking forward to Arcade Fire tonight. Fingers crossed for no rain at show time!

In September, Mike and I are going to Chicago for a culinary adventure (and Jazzfest just so happens to be on the same dates we'll be there!)
We're hoping to do everything Rick Bayless, so Frontera Grill, XOCO and Topolobampo (which dictated when our trip would be, I tried to make reservations for August and they didn't have anything available!)
I'm also very interested in The Purple Pig.
Any other recommendations on where to eat or what to explore?
-
Bwah ha ha!!! Thanks Doc, that started my day out with a smile.
-
Well that was a lovely evening. Up front for the John Butler Trio and then front row for the Gram Parsons Tribute which was just beautiful. I had goosebumps, shivers and a tear, no shitting!
-
AND a candy surprise inside? Now that looks like value.
Oh yeah and ..... RALPH.

The most memorable childhood gift for me was a wrinkle dog I named Mugs and carried everywhere for years. I still have him.
