  2. Considering it's Clapton/Beck we didn't want to wait for public sale' date=' so we ordered presale (dec.1) and grabbed up floor seats. I don't have the credit card so I'm not exactly sure which row/section, but I'm pretty sure they are close to centre first 15 rows (maybe).

    I can't wait for this show.[/quote']

I've seen Beck this decade and he was on fire.

Agreed. I too have seen Becka couple times is the last 7 years ir so and he is a monster. His last three albums have all been drum & basss techno fusion too.

I will be down at the ACC the night of trying to score cheap tickets.

  3. The New Deal is at BB Kings in NYC with The Dan Band....

I actually looked into this show becuase not only are the New deal playing late night but Chuck Berry is playing before them at 11pm!!!

However flights to NYC are waay inflated well over $400 buck right now and you can't stay anywhere in NYC for under $230/night so the whole thing would be over a grand easy for a couple nights. Sadly out of my price range.

  4. So yet another great concert that is again pricing me out of the market.

    Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton

    @ ACC, Toronto

    Sunday Feb.21

    Floors: $225

    Lower Level: $125

    Upper Bowl front: $89.50

    Back of Upper Bowl: $69.00

Add on top of that the typical ticketmaster service charges apply so tack on probably $17 per ticket.

So expensive and from my experience you don't want to be in the upper bowl at the ACC especially at these prices.

    Tickets on sale Friday.

  5. Seriously what's the deal with 'Furthur' - is Kreutzman effectively retired retired? So it's Phil, Bobby and his douchey buddy from Ratdog and what now some dude from DSO and admittedly the badass Joe Russo?

??? Seruiously! For one Kruetzman lives in Hawaii and tours only occasionally.

Bobby's buddy from Ratdog is skilled keyboardist Jeff Chenemti, amazing player. The "guy" from DSO is John Kadelecik, who is a mid blowing player how sounds eerily like Jerry.

I have heard the recordings fromt he road of this band and they are far superior to the Dead which toured last summer.

Welcome to the last [color:red]Sweetback! event for 2009. And for this one, we're pulling out all the stops.

Joining this month is Toronto's rare groove aficionado: JASON PALMA

A local institution in and of himself, JASON PALMA has been blessing T-dot dancefloors for decades. Establishing himself as one of the architects of Toronto's early Acid Jazz, Deep House and Funk scenes has placed him in constant demand over the course of his career. Digging in the crates for only the finest disco, jazz-funk and soul, it's no wonder he has become one of Toronto's most beloved homegrown fixtures.

    With Sweetback! residents:

  7. SHUT OUT! GRRR!

Can't totally complain this is only maybe the 3rd time in the 70+ shows I've done by mail order that I've been denied.

Although seems like many Candian folks on this board got jooked.
