  1. fuÇk rich gannon' date=' and Tim brown!!![/quote']

Did either of those guys come out of retirement and fuck over the Raiders, forcing them to make a trade to another team where its all about "me me me" and then throw a hissy fit because the coach called them out during a video session because they werent playing well?

Nooooooooooooooooooo.............fuck Brett Farve. I used to have a ton of respect for him. And what did he do when it all mattered?

    1 TD, 3 INT's

Mangini ends up getting fired, not Brett. He is the white man's Terrell Owens. Sure, he has won his superbowl but that was over 10 years ago. Time to come to the inevitable realization the rest of us know Brett and stop screwing around with franchise's futures.

(So says the guy who has been defending Mats Sundin)

My humble apologies... I was totally talking way too much rum drunk bullshit. Plus I had no idea about the video room thing.

Thanks for letting me vent! I feel muuuuch better.

    Reggie!!!

    Peace.

  2. Fuck rich gannon, and Tim brown!!!

    Anywho...

How can a packer fan pick minny to win?! Why don't you just go create a studded jean jacket with a bedazzler while your at it.

Fuck ryan longwell, and fuck brett farve...

Shit, I take that last one back...

    Reggie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Hey Theo... I welcome good debate... Good debate is good debate... but we'll have to wait and see what the substance of this debate will be (are we talking house of commons question period debate or an election debate BTW?)

Dion wanted to bring the government down for the sake of bringing the government down at any cost (and he didn't have enough to pay)... 75% in the polls said the electorate thought that was a bad idea regardless of their political stripes. Iggy has shown/hinted he knows it's not a good move right now... not after the market crash, and not after two elections in two years which produced the same results. He first needs to establish his own track record before he becomes an imminent threat.

Harper knows Iggy is a real threat in the long term, perhaps if Iggy was in power instead of a resigning Dion (why do the Libs always have to elect a leader from Quebec!), none of this recent bullshit would of happened... He only made that political move cause it was 'safe' relatively speaking. He's still going to be in power... the 'x' factor was how much the emotional quotient went up, and what a shit-storm distraction is has been from some real issues that have taken a back seat the last few months.

But it's too late for Iggy to step in, fix his own party in the eye's of the electorate in a month, and go to the polls. Therefore, we might actually see a civil tone in the house where concessions are made both ways and each leader attempts to outdo each other in terms of niceties preparing for the election: in two years (my prediction, and check back on your magic January 27th)

I guess my biggest fear is you'll all have heart attacks when you find out there's going to be a few more years of Harper. ;)

And Ollie thanks... just the cards I was dealt is all... All I want for Christmas is to actually get along with my peers once-in-a-while. Damn me and my fucking principles.

Looking at this weather happening outside my window, I'm actually kind of glad I'm not going anywhere. Be safe out there if you're traveling!

  4. I actually thought your "cynical hyperbole" post was anything but. It was actually a well formed argument grounded with actual examples, and concessions that maybe somethings the conservatives had as ideas were fair.

I've been really glad to read the stance that Iggy has taken since he's come out... it sounds like he's the kind of leader who might be able to work (in a positive way for the country) in a minority setting. His criticisms of Harper are fair... because he also acknowledges that Harper was given the mandate to lead... and his tactic of playing good-cop/bad-cop will probably get him closer to being electable than any coalition, or Dion-led Liberal government would of...

And Hux should be happy that he's not going to be bringing Layton and the NDP into the fold.

Bottom line, he's willing to work with Harper, and Harper is going to respect Iggy... if only cause Iggy is acting like he has more than half a brain in his head.

Things are actually looking up... though I imagine that's not what the conversations are going to sound like at your holiday tables this year.

  5. That also makes alot of sense Hamilton.

No doubt with this electorate, and this parliament we're lucky we can all tie our own shoes without a committee or a subsidy.

Anyways, thanks guys for talking about the issues for/with me instead of just picking on the guy who seems to always be defending Harper (if only to get some substance in the debate)

And yeah I'm in a bad mood... sorry... it's tough around the holidays with no family and all. I try to tell myself it'll be okay leading up to it... but clearly it's getting the best of me at this point.

  6. Now there's an idea DJ... could be an interesting efficiency... sounds far more democratic IMHO, but good luck getting that through the Senate! :) It could happen some day though.

And Ollie, do you ever have anything to say that amounts to more than a one-liner? No sarcasm in that statement, rather frustration at a discourse that doesn't focus on the issues, more the ego's involved in shaping those issues.

  7. Fack... look out the window... there are cars and people going to work right?

Go to the grocery store, you can still get food right?

Turn on the light switch... there's light right?

House cold? Turn on the heat... it magically gets warmer right?

And when the election comes I think the overall backlash against the powergrabbing opposition is going to hurt them more than it's going to hurt Harpers PC's for actually figuring out a way to stop it. Deal with it... I know Harper is... it's not pretty, but your predictions of a PC backlash over this is probably going to be overshadowed by the backlash on the other side(s)

Seems like things are working fairly well in Canada...

Got my liscence renewed... new Health Card in the mail... fucking roads are okay, and plowed right after the snow... there's little there to suggest that this is a non-funciton argument.

    Fucking hyperbole fear-mongers.

  8. So who's got my heady, WE SHOULDN'T ELECT THE SENATE, argument?

And name calling doesn't really fit into my idea of a 'sound' argument.

If you're surprised why no one is picketing 24 sussex, why don't you go down and do it yourself instead of expecting others to do it for you. Your apathetic stance is getting pretty pathetic. Thankfully I don't have that resolve.

  9. Geez, the senate is still like 70 Liberal Senators to 30 Conservatives. The guy is like the Prime Minister... he's kind of allowed to do this. If you don't like it, maybe you should lobby your own parties to actually have some of your senators show up for work once-in-a-while.

The bigger crime is not having an elected senate, and having an absentee rate over 50%... and we call ourselves a democracy. Stevie is trying to fix it.... I mean can anyone here argue why we SHOULDN'T have an elected senate?

Since it's the most powerful house of parliament, that's really pathetic... you can't really blame the Cons for it either... if your looking for a scapegoat here... look at the reds. This is where Canadians get their attitude of entitlement from (or atleast where it is represented the most in our government)

Oh yeah, I forgot, no matter what Steve does it's wrong... and evil.

  10. No doubt. And yeah, I did just want to shake things up here a little bit. It gets kind of boring at times, and Samsanov and the Bruins gave me a little ammo.

    Merry holidays!

And 10 years of 'over-achieving' is a stretch for an expansion club. 5 of those we had a pay-roll half of what the big spenders had, and then when things were just getting good... bam... salary cap.

Zdeno is still Montreals worst enemy right now... and it's beautiful to see what he's done in Boston this year... as painful as it is for me to say it.
