  1. It's funny how the Sens were a system based team which allowed them to improve and nurture talent... then the talent pool overflowed, and they relied on it a little much, and they got a little lazy system wise... now, they have to wake-up and realize their talent is limited, and other teams have caught up, and they're going to have to focus developing a new system which suits them.

These guys have to be grinders and hitters. No doubt this is what the system is designed to achieved... but on the ice, it just seems the Sens are a step behind... if/when those pinching D ever start making contact with their targets... the ship may pick up some steam.

  2. They're going to do to Brian Lee this season what they did to Foligno last season. If Foligno turns out to be a good player, I bet Brian Lee will follow a similar path.

And yeah, Spezza and Foligno together? 2nd Scoring maybe? Sure thing? No way... but the Sens need something to work... the path is clear.

  3. Yeah, and McKenna's platform: You can't blame me for how fucked up the Liberal party is. I wasn't here. I'll fix it.

I think he was asked to leave in the first place probably for this very reason.

McKenna and Iggy are the only two candidates in Harpers league... no surprise they are outsiders/newcommers in the current Liberal regime. I know how sad many of you read this as, but it's true... and even then their inheriting such an inbred, dysfunctional party, that it's unlikely they'll be able to rally significantly with so many new parties trying to light a fire under the 50% of Canadians who didnt vote IMO.

Still job one for the new liberal leader is to fix the party before they have any chance at losing their backward momentum... and quite frankly I welcome it... I like having a kaleidoscopic minority parliament. Even if all those boobs haven't figured out how to work together well yet, it'll come. Events will grind the gears, and hopefully a new, more mature parliament will evolve out of the upgraded machine. I think I have the bitter taste the last 15 years of Liberal leadership left on the electorate to thank.

  4. I can't even find the site anymore?! Where is it?! Who's my top pick?! I hope it wasn't Lindros.

Why is it not sticky threaded?

    Edit:

Nevermind... found it. Of course I foget all my sign in info... this could take a while. I'm on dial up now... still waiting for Sunday's football scores to load! :P

  5. Hey guys, just checking in...

So far this place is better than imagined. The people up here are so nice. I think it's because there's such a relaxed attitude out here.

I like to smile and say hi when I pass people on the street, and in Barry's Bay I'm usually the one returning the gesture instead of initiating it. The scenery is outstanding... the roads are like a giant go-kart track (which will probably be trouble come winter)...

I've finally got all my stuff here and it's taking forever to set it up... there's also a million things to do around the house... but the work is very fulfilling.

There's even some live music up here too! Tuesday night Blues jams and the Wilno Tavern, A Song Writers circle the last Thursday of the Month at the Red Canoe... and occasional bands work their way through here. Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo was here not to long ago, and the Great Lakes Swimmers played somewhere around here too.

Just wanted to check in and say hi... and if anyone is looking to come out and check out all these wicked fall colours, and looking for some crash space for a night or two... let me know!

Hope everything is going well with all you's... I don't have internet at my house (which is actually kind of liberating)... so I'll be checking in every week or so at the town library.

    Peace out!
